About Me.

I am a 6th year Ph.D. candidate at Steward Observatory. I like to study the stars, from the faintest stellar atmospheres within our own galaxy to the brightest stellar deaths in galaxies nearby.

Beyond research, I am involved with a number of Outreach and DEI efforts, with the goal of supporting young scientists from differing backgrounds. I love living in Tucson (I even have a Tucson themed tattoo!) and am passionate about my dog (see below), art, cozy video games, and paranormal TV shows.

The Great Outdoors.

Part of the reason I love living in Tucson is all of the outdoor activities that are available year-round with 350+ days of sun! I enjoy top rope climbing (pictured here), outdoor volleyball, city-league soccer, perfecting the desert landscape in my backyard, and casual hiking/camping with my dog.

Onyx.

Onyx. Onyx Beaux-bonyx. On-Bon. Bonathan. Bonjamin. This little dog is my pride and joy. I “accidentally” adopted him during my first year of grad school in Tucson. On that day, I was accompanying a friend to PetSmart to help her adopt HER dog, but the cutest little puppy fell asleep on my lap and I knew he had to come home with me. Here is a collection of some of my favorite Onyx photos. I hope they bring you as much joy as they continue to bring me.
